about us

Kia ora! We’re Sally and Ruby, two artists from Te Whanganui-a-Tara. We met at uni, and have been living and creating work together ever since. We both have a Bachelor's of Fine Arts (Hons) and graduated in 2024.

Sally’s practice is grounded in exploring repetition, rhythm, and shape; using design and visual flow to generate murals that bring depth, colour, and energy to the spaces they inhabit. She experiments with the communication between realism and abstraction to create works that are both familiar and transcendental.

Ruby’s practice explores the nature of human experience, intuition, and form, creating murals that bring connection and translate into detailed, intricate, and textural works. She experiments with the balance between instinct and structure, adapting her approach to suit each project and context; providing symbolism and visual articulation.

Together, we bring our individual practices into a collaborative approach, adapting to each space and client to create murals that are lively and tailored to their environment. We aim to reflect the vision of those who inhabit the space while creating warm, engaging, and accommodating environments.
